Dr Asbat Hasan, M.D., is a Riverside native and a board-certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality care to the community in which he was raised.
Dr Asbat Hasan earned his medical degree through the highly selective Thomas Haider Program at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine.
He remained deeply engaged in the Inland Empire throughout his training, providing care to underserved populations and earning the Medical Student of the Year award from Riverside Community Hospital.
He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at the University of California, Irvine, where he developed expertise in managing complex autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
Dr Asbat Hasan specialises in the treatment of lupus, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Sjögren’s syndrome, and rheumatoid arthritis. He incorporates advanced techniques, including ultrasound-guided joint injections, to deliver targeted, evidence-based care.
His clinical philosophy prioritises streamlined, effective treatment plans that minimise unnecessary medication exposure while maintaining tight disease control. He also believes that care should adapt to the patient—treatment plans are designed to fit each individual’s lifestyle, not disrupt it.
He is committed to clear communication, patient education, and long-term partnership in care. Outside of medicine, Dr Asbat Hasan enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, as well as travelling and exploring new cuisines.
