What insurance carriers does Arthritis Medical Clinic accept?

Aetna, BeechStreet, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, Exclusive Care (HMO),  Healthcomp, HealthNet, First Health, Great West, Medicare, Medi-Medi, PacifiCare, PrimeCare Medical Group (HMO), Railroad Medicare, Redlands IPA (HMO) Riverside Physician Network (HMO), TriWest, United Health Care.

Do I need a referral from my insurance carrier, medical group or primary care physician?

All HMO plans require a written authorization from your primary care physician. If you come for an appointment without an authorization and it is required by your insurance, you have the option to pay for the visit or reschedule after receiving the authorization. Acquiring the proper authorization is the patient’s responsibility. 

What do I need to bring for my first appointment?

Bring your insurance card, driver license or picture ID, any pertinent medical records including most recent laboratory and x-ray results and a list of your current medications. Please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to complete necessary paperwork.

Do I have to pay at the time of my appointment?

The co-pay amount for a specialist visit is due at the time of check in. You are responsible for your deductible if it has not been met.

Does your office accept credit cards for payment?

Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for payments, in addition to cash, check or money order. Returned checks will be assessed a $50 overdraft charge.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

We kindly ask that you notify our office 72 hours in advance. So we can offer that appointment time to another patient.

Will the doctor discuss my test results over the telephone?

All test results will be discussed at your next office visit. However, life threatening test results will be discussed over the telephone.
